cl-170129 SergeyAntonov 300Spectacular music for cello and a joyous symphony by Schumann are the focal points of this program, with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and their concert “Hope Springs Eternal.”  The music begins with the ever-popular Overture to The Bartered Bride by Smetana, then Dvorak’s Concerto for Cello and Orchestra is performed by guest artist Sergey Antonov.  The concert concludes with Robert Schumann’s “Spring” Symphony No. 1.  Our “hope” is that you’ll join us.
