From the orchestra’s 2013-2014 Masterworks III concert there’s a program of “Fun and Romance.” The fun comes from a lively overture by Dvorak. Then the romance is provided by back-to-back helpings of a beloved Rachmaninoff piano concerto, and the “Romantic” Symphony by an influential American composer and pedagogue.
